I currently reside in Seattle, Washington. I find the architectural challenges inherent to the future of this city at once challenging and inspiring. Seattle's increasingly urbanized landscape currently juxtaposes upscale, architectural development against shabby, urban neglect. However, I believe that it is possible to unite these two polarities into a consistently vibrant and socially equitable architectural plan for the future of Seattle. I am drawn to the challenges of creating architecturally functional communities that integrate outdoor, natural settings with high-density, urbanized structures. I believe that innovative, imaginative architectural planning can successfully fuse the needs of a burgeoning population with the needs of a public persistently calling for environmental sustainability...
